DERMAGARD

Dermagard offers a clear polyester coating which can be applied directly to existing glass, keeping out 99.8% of UV light whilst enabling natural daylight and clear vision without compromising your views.  Absolutley ideal for our customers who are sunsensitive.  We can arrange for this to be professionally installed for you or we do offer supply only for DIY installation.

If supply only the best way to describe it is like ‘sticky back plastic.  DIY fitting is quite simple to do but does require time, preparation and patience but certainly easy and achievable.  The film comes on a roll, measure and cut the film to the specified size peel back one layer and apply the adhesive side direct to your windows pushing out any air bubbles you have with a squidgee.  You can view the DIY instructions downloadable from our individual products.

Here’s a scientific fact that most people find hard to believe:  While it’s rare to get sunburned through your car windows, harmful ultraviolet (UVA) rays that contribute to premature aging and skin cancer can still reach you.

Damage from UVA rays is cumulative as they penetrate deep into the skin and can silently accelerate the aging process, cause wrinkles and even skin cancer. In fact, research shows that car drivers have a higher rate of skin cancer on their window side due to exposure while driving.

LLumar’s contribution to sun protection is now also recognized by ‘The British Skin Foundation’ as especially valuable to prevent sun induced skin damage.

For UV Protection in your car, we recommend Llumar’s AU 85 UV Window Film for Cars, which blocks 99.9% of UVA and UVB rays from penetrating your car windows and is completely road legal although some dealerships still use the Dermagard it may depend on what they stock but both are compatable and offer the same benefits.

Dermagard can be installed yourself, but we recommend professionally installing Llumar AU 85.
