The 4mil Colourless Clear safety film is constructed to minimise the dangers of flying glass combined with 99% UV protection.
Security films hold glass fragments together in the event of breakage and will also help to strengthen glass, lessening the risk of breakage following malicious or accidental impact.
Safety films have a tough, scratch-resistant coating and their laminated structure, coupled with strong adhesive systems, are designed to allow glass to break safely.
Security film protects occupants and property from severe threats, such as storm damage, terrorist explosions, mob-riots and break-ins. Also ideal for machinery operating vehicles, sports venues, nurseries and valued artwork / puzzles.
Glazing which does not meet with Regulation 14 within the Management of Health & Safety in the Workplace Regulations must be upgraded. The solution is to either remove and re-glaze ( this can be expensive and disruptive ) or have high-quality and cost effective safety film applied, with little disruption to staff and routines within a building.
